Read moreSIDE15 is a part of the series of conferences Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations SIDE (side-conferences.net), the major series of conferences around the world that brings together mathematicians and physicists specialising in integrability and symmetries of discrete and semi-discrete systems. In 2025, SIDE15 will take place in Sirmione (Lake Garda), Italy. The primary topics of the conference include:
- ordinary and partial difference equations,
- symmetries and reductions,
- orthogonal polynomials and special functions,
- integrable discrete systems,
- integrable dynamical mappings,
- discrete Painlevé equations,
- singularity confinement, algebraic entropy (growth of complexity),
- quantum mappings and quantum field theory on the space-time lattice
and related subjects.
Jointly to SIDE15, the organisation of a summer school called ASIDE15 (Abecedarian SIDE) is planned, with the aim to deepen some topics related to the main conference.
