SIDE15 is a part of the series of conferences Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations SIDE (side-conferences.net), the major series of conferences around the world that brings together mathematicians and physicists specialising in integrability and symmetries of discrete and semi-discrete systems. In 2025, SIDE15 will take place in Sirmione (Lake Garda), Italy. The primary topics of the conference include:

  • ordinary and partial difference equations,
  • symmetries and reductions,
  • orthogonal polynomials and special functions,
  • integrable discrete systems,
  • integrable dynamical mappings,
  • discrete Painlevé equations,
  • singularity confinement, algebraic entropy (growth of complexity),
  • quantum mappings and quantum field theory on the space-time lattice

and related subjects.

Jointly to SIDE15, the organisation of a summer school called ASIDE15 (Abecedarian SIDE) is planned, with the aim to deepen some topics related to the main conference.
